Commitment
The Wealth Management Institute Ltd. (WMI) is committed to protecting your privacy and recognizes the importance of protecting the confidentiality and security of our customers personal account information. We hold all personal information provided to our firm –whether provided at our facility over the Internet or on the telephone—in the strictest of confidence. We do not disclose information to non-affiliated third parties, except as permitted by law.
Privacy Principles
We have outlined our 10 Privacy Principles so that you will have every confidence that the information you share with us will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
1. Identifying Purpose – Whenever personal information is collected about you, we will tell you, orally or in writing, the purpose for which we are collecting your information, either before or at the time we collect the information.
2. Consent – Before we collect, use or disclose any personal information about you, we will always advise you of it and obtain your consent first, with the exception of personal information collected, used or disclosed for legal or security purposes.
3. Information We Collect – In connection with providing investment products, financial advice, or other services, we obtain nonpublic personal information about you that is needed to serve you and administer our business, including:
- Information about your transactions with us or others; and
- Information received from other third parties.
- To our broker/dealer, FSC Securities Corporation, and our clearing broker, Pershing,
- To other financial/legal professionals as specifically authorized by you,
- To government entities or other third parties in response to subpoenas or other legal process as required by law.
We do not provide your personally identifiable information to mailing list vendors or solicitors for any purpose.
5. Accuracy – WMI will keep your personal information as accurate, complete, and up-to-date as necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used. We regularly update clients’ information to ensure accuracy.
6. Individual Access – Upon request, you will be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of your personal information and we will give you access to that information. You can verify the accuracy and completeness of your personal information and make amendments to it. There may be limited times when we cannot provide access to certain personal information and we will tell you the reasons why we cannot do so.
7. Openness – Wealth Management Institute will make readily available to you, upon your request, specific written information about our policies and practices relating to the management of your personal information.
8. Security Safeguards – Client information is provided only to non-affiliated parties who have authorized business or professional reason for access, and only as permitted by law. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural security measures that comply with applicable state and federal regulations to safeguard confidential client information.
Your personal information is protected by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. We restrict access within our company to your personal information and we also screen anyone who requests account information to ensure we are in contact with authorized personnel only.
9. Closed or Inactive Accounts – If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.
10. Accountability – WMI is responsible for keeping the information we have about you safe and ensuring that the information we collect, retain and use about you is appropriate by using specific policies and procedures we have in place. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use or disseminate confidential information, we will notify you.
